ALL ABOUT DVD COMPATIBILITY:
Here at dvdbyte.com we sell DVDs from around the globe. Some of these DVDs are by design not playable in normal USA DVD players or on normal USA TVs. We do not accept returns for player incompatibility! So be sure you understand these three important topics before purchasing DVDs from other countries!

What is Region code for DVDs?
Many DVDs are manufactured for sale within a specific country or territory. And for the purposes of DVDs, various territories of the world were divided up into "Regions" (see list below). For example, the following is a breakdown of how the Regions are distributed:

REGION 0: Also called "all-region", no region limitations!
REGION 1: U.S., Canada, U.S. Territories
REGION 2: Japan, Europe, South Africa, and Middle East (including Egypt)
REGION 3: Southeast Asia and East Asia (including Hong Kong)
REGION 4: Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands, Central America, Mexico, South America, and the Caribbean
REGION 5: Eastern Europe (Former Soviet Union), Indian subcontinent, Africa, North Korea, and Mongolia
REGION 6: China

Consequently, normal USA DVD players are built only to play Region 1 DVDs, and will not play DVDs from other Regions. There are two solutions to this problem: 1) you limit your purchases to DVDs from your own Region; or 2) you buy a special DVD player that can play DVDs from any Region. Clearly the second solution gives you the most options, which is why we offer a wide selection of Region-Free DVD Players for you to choose from.

What is PAL/NTSC DVD format?
In addition to Region Coding, you need to be aware of whether a DVD is PAL format or NTSC format. For example, the standard format in the USA is NTSC, and the standard format in Europe is PAL. In the USA most TVs and DVD players cannot display a PAL signal properly. Consequently, your best solution is again to purchase a special DVD player that can convert the PAL signal to NTSC before outputting it to your TV.

Note that modern projectors and plasma displays often CAN display a PAL signal. If you know that your display is capable of displaying a PAL signal, you still need to make sure that your DVD player can play PAL formatted DVDs. How can I enjoy DVD from different region and different format?
If you love movies, the only real solution is to buy a Region-Free DVD Player that plays DVDs from all the regions and outputs in the format (PAL or NTSC) that suits your display. Without a Region-Free DVD Player, your selection will be severely limited, and you will be missing out on all that the world of cinema has to offer.

What is oversea release, what is the difference with USA release?
Oversea release is the release outside of USA. Oversea release could be USA studios release their product in the oversea market, or foreign studios release in the local market. For same title, the difference between oversea release and USA release are:
1. package is different. Usually foreign writings on the cover.
2. extra audio added. This is especially true for release in Asia, Japanese/Korean/Chinese/Thai and other languages added.
3. extra subtitles added. Such as Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Korean, Spanish, French, and other languages.
4. special or bonus features are different.
5. numbers of how many DVDs maybe different.

How do I order?

How long will it take to get what I order?
Normal delivery times are 3 to 15 business days depending on your location and how you want the order be shipped. Please note if you are in an international location, customs delays that may occur. Overnight delivery is available to USA buyers for a very low fee. Rush delivery to other country is available for an extra fee.

What about your returns policy?
Please read our return policy very carefully. Please follow the direction in this page carefully if you want to exchange or return. We reserve the right to reject DVD returns if an obvious copy has been made.

Will the DVD's work on my DVD player?
The DVD's are region free which means they will play on all DVD players. Please note that we offer PAL format DVD box set and some of USA DVD player only plays NTSC format. Please make sure you read the DVD description carefully before ordering. We also offer all region dual format PAL/NTSC DVD players and offer our buyers deep discount for those DVD players ordered together with DVD set.

I had a problem paying with Credit Card, what should I do?

My DVDs play in another language, how can I view in English?
This is a very common question. The solution is very simple.
Please use your DVD player remote "Audio" button to choose desired audio language.
Please use your DVD player remote "Subtitle" button to choose desired subtitle or turn it off.
